The new Shimano Kairiki 4 is an upgraded 4-strand braided line, manufactured in Japan using the VT Construction Method. Available in diameters ranging from 0.06 mm to 0.315 mm, it boasts an impressive breaking strength of up to 29.8 kg. This line offers ideal characteristics for both freshwater and saltwater fishing. It is highly sensitive and features a very smooth surface, enhancing casting distance. In addition to traditional colors like Mantis Green and Steel Grey, two new colors have been introduced: bright orange and multicolor. The multicolor option is especially useful for deep-water fishing. Thanks to its smoothness and thin diameter, Kairiki 4 is excellent for jigging, as it has a low friction coefficient when in contact with water. Its maximum stretch is less than 3%, which positively affects the overall sensitivity of the tackle.
